Leadership

Joe Han

Founder & Principal Consultant

Joe leads Flux with data engineering experience shaped at Meta, Google, and Amazon. The work combines architecture, implementation, and operational judgment—the parts that are often separated across a traditional consulting team.

Flux is intentionally focused. Engagements begin with a concrete business risk or decision, use the systems and team already in place, and aim to leave behind a clearer model of how the data should be owned and operated.

That can mean stabilizing a failing pipeline, rebuilding a warehouse model, resolving disputed metrics, or connecting analytics to the workflow where a decision actually gets made.

Working principles

Make the model explicit

Definitions, ownership, and system boundaries should be clear enough for the team to reason about and change.

Verify the business outcome

A successful job or deployment is not enough. The downstream numbers and workflow must be correct.

Build for the team you have

The right architecture is one the current organization can understand, operate, and improve.

Bring the system as it is.

The first conversation can start with the architecture diagram, the failing query, the spreadsheet handoff, or the number nobody believes.
